CSFS has a fully fledged and independent equity and fixed income research department which produces regular market reports, in addition to providing company specific notes on the counters listed on the NSE. Our investment decisions and recommendations are based on in-depth research analysis conducted by dedicated professionals in our research department.

Our research team carries out analyses of economic, industry, and company information for use in investment decision making and in carrying out detailed reviews of investment prospects. We also provide support as part of due diligence teams, as well as participate in the evaluation, formulation and implementation of investment strategies.

Our focus is on securities traded in the Kenyan capital and money markets. We place research emphasis on listed equities and equity IPO's, and on listed government debt instruments; as well as reviews on macroeconomic themes. Our output usually comes in the form of: company reports, company snapshots, quarterly economic reviews, weekly reports, daily market reports and special reports.

CSFS is the only stockbroker to produce a regular research report on fixed income securities in Kenya and it is a matter of pride that the NSE yield curve is based on the in-house methodology (logarithmic linear interpolation) used within the company since 2003.

In addition to producing regular reports, we also generate reports on request and on an as-needed basis for use by our brokerage and discretionary portfolio management clients.
